Volunteer Opportunity: Share a Love of Movies and Conversation with Josephine!
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Ageing with Grace believes that social connections are essential to the well-being of older people. We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, friendly Volunteer Visitors to spend time with older people who are at risk of social isolation and loneliness.
We are currently searching for a friendly, engaging volunteer (an Australian female, over the age of 18) to spend some quality one-on-one time with Josephine.
About Josephine:
Josephine is currently struggling with social isolation and would greatly benefit from a regular, friendly visitor. She has a deep love for movies and cinema. To help her feel most comfortable and connected, Josephine would love to find an Australian female companion who can share a warm, relaxed 1:1 conversation and swap thoughts on their favourite films.
The Role:
- What: 1:1 companionship and social visits.
- Activities: Enjoying a bright chat, talking about films, or watching movies together.
- Time Commitment: Flexible hours to suit your schedule (weekly or fortnightly visits).
About You:
- You are an Australian female volunteer
(to match Josephine's preference). - You are 18 years of age or older.
- You possess a kind heart, compassion, and reliability.
- You enjoy a good movie and a friendly conversation.
About the Program:
This position is supported by the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS). The ACVVS is a government-funded program designed to combat social isolation and help develop social connections.
