Share a Yarn, a Chat, and a Connection with Rosemary!

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Ageing with Grace believes that social connections are essential to the well-being of older people. We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, friendly Volunteer Visitors to spend time with older people who are at risk of social isolation and loneliness.

We are currently searching for a friendly, engaging female volunteer (18 years of age or older) to spend some quality one-on-one time with Rosemary.

About Rosemary:
Rosemary is currently experiencing social isolation and is deeply missing regular human interaction. She has a creative spirit and a great love for knitting. To match her comfort and preferences, Rosemary would love to find a female companion who can join her for relaxed 1:1 conversations, share everyday stories, and perhaps swap a few knitting tips over a warm cup of tea.

The Role:

  • What: 1:1 companionship and social visits.
  • Activities: Enjoying bright conversations, sharing stories, and knitting together.
  • Time Commitment: Flexible hours to suit your schedule (weekly or fortnightly visits).

About You:

  • You are a female volunteer
    (to match Rosemary's preference).
  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You possess a kind heart, compassion, and reliability.
  • An interest in knitting or crafts is a wonderful bonus, but not required!

About the Program:
This position is supported by the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS). The ACVVS is a government-funded program designed to combat social isolation and help develop social connections.

By giving just an hour or two of your time, you can make a massive difference in Rosemary's week, helping her feel connected while building a rewarding friendship.
