Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Ageing with Grace believes that social connections are essential to the well-being of older people. We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, friendly Volunteer Visitors to spend time with older people who are at risk of social isolation and loneliness.
We are currently searching for a friendly, engaging volunteer (an Australian male, 18 years of age or older) to spend some quality one-on-one time with an older gentleman.
About Ronald:
Ronald is currently struggling with social isolation and would greatly benefit from a regular, friendly face to chat with. He has a broad range of interests, including watching movies, talking about gardening, and engaging conversation. To match his comfort and preferences, Ronald would love to find an Australian bloke to share a laugh, swap stories, and enjoy these simple pastimes together.
The Role:
- What: Companionship and social visits.
- Activities: Enjoying a bright chat, talking about favourite movies, or spending time admiring the garden.
- Time Commitment: Flexible hours to suit your schedule (weekly or fortnightly visits).
About You:
- You are an Australian male volunteer
(to match Ronald's preference). - You are 18 years of age or older.
- You possess a kind heart, compassion, and reliability.
- An interest in cinema, nature, or gardening is a great bonus, but not required!
About the Program:
This position is supported by the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS). The ACVVS is a government-funded program designed to combat social isolation and help develop social connections.
