The Systems Improvement Volunteer will support the People & Performance Team by enhancing, maintaining, and optimising Employment Hero and related HR systems. This role is ideal for an individual with experience in HR technology, system automation, process improvement, and data management.

The volunteer will assist in identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve system functionality, automate manual processes, and support the implementation of system enhancements that contribute to an efficient and positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Employment Hero and Better Impact.
  • Review current HR processes and identify opportunities for system improvements.
  • Assist with configuring workflows, forms, templates, and employee lifecycle processes
  • Test and troubleshoot system issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Automation & Process Enhancement:

  • Maintain accurate system records and data integrity.
  • Identify repetitive administrative tasks and recommend automation solutions.
  • Assist in developing automated workflows and system integrations where appropriate.
  • Support the implementation of digital solutions that improve efficiency and user experience
  • Monitor the effectiveness of automated processes and recommend further enhancements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with HRIS implementation, optimisation, or digital transformation projects.
  • Experience in process mapping and documentation.
  • Understanding of HR compliance and record management requirements.
  • Qualifications or studies in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of St John Ambulance Queensland.
