Friendly Volunteer Visitor – Enjoy a Chat with a Lovely Lady in Eltham
Do you enjoy a friendly conversation and spending time with others?
MiCare is looking for a warm and friendly volunteer to provide regular social visits and companionship to a lovely older lady living in Eltham, VIC.
She is a kind and welcoming lady who would enjoy having someone visit regularly for a chat and some friendly company.
Your visits might include having a cup of tea or coffee together, talking about everyday life, sharing stories, or simply enjoying a relaxed conversation.
Sometimes, having someone to talk to and look forward to seeing can make a meaningful difference. Through regular visits, you can help her stay socially connected and bring more companionship and enjoyment into her everyday life.
About the commitment
We are looking for someone who can visit weekly or fortnightly and ideally commit to volunteering for at least six months.
This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity, and we hope to support you in building a genuine and lasting friendship with the person you visit.
As a MiCare volunteer, you will receive:
- Full training and induction
- Ongoing support from the MiCare team
- Reimbursement for eligible travel expenses
- Opportunities to attend volunteer catch-ups and events
