Help Build a New Diabetes Community – Treasurer Opportunity

Good community projects need good foundations.

The NSW Diabetes Lions Club is being established to bring together people affected by diabetes, families and carers, healthcare professionals and community supporters to make a practical difference across NSW.

We're looking for a potential Club Treasurer to help us establish sound financial administration as the Club develops.

You don't necessarily need to be an accountant. Experience or confidence with bookkeeping, financial records, banking, budgets or similar responsibilities would be valuable.

You don't need to have diabetes or previous Lions experience either. We'll provide guidance around Lions requirements and support you as you learn.

Because the Club is being created now, this is also an opportunity to help establish good systems from the beginning rather than inheriting processes that have been in place for years.

Participation is designed to be flexible, and much of the administrative work can be undertaken digitally.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants their skills to contribute to something worthwhile.
