Use Your Skills to Make a Difference in the Diabetes Community

Healthcare and community professionals often see needs that extend well beyond an appointment.
The NSW Diabetes Lions Club is being established to bring lived experience, professional knowledge and community service together.
We're interested in hearing from diabetes educators, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, allied health and mental health professionals, community workers, researchers, students and others who care about improving life for people affected by diabetes.
This isn't about taking on another job.
Your contribution might be helping us understand an unmet need, advising on an educational initiative, connecting us with another organisation, contributing to a project or simply bringing a perspective that helps us make better decisions.
We don't want to duplicate the excellent work already being done. We want to identify genuine gaps, build partnerships and explore what practical service can achieve.
Participation is flexible and statewide, and you don't need previous Lions experience.
If you've ever thought, “Someone really should do something about that,” we'd like to hear what that something could be.
