We are looking for a friendly, outgoing person to join the Wolston Farmhouse Volunteer Program as a Collection Assistant.

This role assists with the documentation of our significant  collections. Working closely with the Heritage Officer, you will ensure that artifacts and records are accurately catalogued and photographed.

What’s involved?

• Assist with the cataloguing of new acquisitions

• Photograph and scan artifacts, documents, and images to attach to digital records

• Label and organise artifacts according to established procedures and guidelines

• Label and organise digital files and physical records to ensure they are easily accessible and properly stored

Requirements:

• Passion for history and museum work

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation

• Good communication and research skills

• Must have, or be eligible to apply for a Blue Card.

• Minimum availability of two weekdays per month from approximately 10am to 2pm

• A friendly and outgoing attitude.
