We are looking for a friendly, outgoing person to welcome visitors to Wolston Farmhouse.

What’s involved?

• Offer an inviting welcome to visitors to historic Wolston Farmhouse.

• Engage and lead individuals and small groups through the property and respond to questions that are raised.

• Be comfortable speaking to small groups.

• Use your history knowledge to provide information and facts on Wolston Farmhouse.

• Ability to work with reception staff and liaise with the Manager.

• Actively look for ways to help visitors engage and enjoy their experience.

Requirements

• Must have, or be eligible to apply for a Blue Card.

• One or two Sundays per month from approximately 9:30am to 2:30pm as well as some week day shifts available.

• A friendly and outgoing attitude.

• Confidence to lead groups of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities through the property.

• Good verbal communication skills to deal politely and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

• Be interested in and willing to learn about Queensland History.

• Be physically able to lead visitors through the Museum.
