Volunteer Coordinator for Santa Paws

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Coordinator to lead our efforts in recruiting and managing volunteers for the upcoming Santa Paws Event. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring a successful event by allocating responsibilities and maintaining a team of dedicated individuals who share our mission.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and recruiting volunteers through various techniques
• Collecting information on availabilities and skills
• Arranging for appropriate training when needed
• Assist with fundraising efforts
• Gather information about volunteers' availability and skills to ensure proper placement.
• Be the contact point on the day of the event.
• Assign specific tasks to volunteers for the event.
• Help coordinate the day's events and ensure they run smoothly
• Maintain regular communication with volunteers to address concerns and ensure their satisfaction.
• Disseminate information to keep volunteers informed.
• Attend meetings and provide input on program and event planning
• Maintain accurate records of volunteers' information and assigned tasks.
• Clearly communicate our mission and purpose to volunteers and the broader community.

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven experience in a leadership or similar role, demonstrating strong organisational and communication skills.
• Prior experience in local and/or international volunteering activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with individuals from various backgrounds.
• Strong organisational and team coordination abilities.
• Friendly and outgoing personality that encourages positive engagement.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible
• Passionate about animal rescue.
