Volunteer Drivers Needed
Do you have a day to spare? We're looking for warm, reliable volunteers to drive our 10 or 12 seater buses for our members who are blind or have low vision. No heavy vehicle licence is required.
What you'll do: • Pick up our bus from Campbelltown • Collect members from their homes and take them to the Adelaide Country Music Club at Wingfield. After the show has ended, return members to their homes. • Assist with Sight Guiding to help our members move around safely and confidently. • Be a friendly, patient companion along the way
No experience needed – A driving assessment will be done at no cost to you and we will also provide training in Sight Guiding Techniques. We just ask for: • One day a month - the first Sunday • Patience, good communication, and reliability • An appreciation of country music would be a bonus • A full South Australian Drivers licence
A little thank-you: For this outing, you will join our members and other volunteers for a meal together (at no cost to you) - good food, good conversation, and a great way to get to know each other.
Why volunteer? • Make a real, tangible difference in someone's independence and daily life • Meet new people and be part of a supportive community • Free training and ongoing support from our team
Interested? Get in touch — we'd love to have you on board.
