Massage Volunteers

Mater Volunteers is currently seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Massage Program. Join our incredible team of over 500 volunteers at Mater South Brisbane and be part of something meaningful.

Hand Massage volunteers provide companionship and relaxation to patients across Mater Mothers’ Hospitals, Mater Hospital Brisbane, Mater Private Hospital and Mater Cancer Care.

• The massage program operates Monday to Friday
• Most shifts are 9am-1pm, some 1pm-4pm shifts also available
• Volunteers must be able to commit to the same shift weekly, for a minimum period of 4 months

All Mater Volunteers receive training and support to ensure you are confident in your role. Massage experience is not necessary. We use a basic technique (with gloves) to apply moisturiser to hands, for a relaxing experience.
