Teacher & Community Learning Facilitator

At MultiLink Community Services, we believe learning is more than gaining knowledge, it can build confidence, create connection and open the door to employment.

We’re looking for an experienced teacher, tutor or educator to join our community and help us develop a new learning program for people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys creating, connecting and making a difference.

You won’t simply be delivering a pre-designed program, you’ll have the opportunity to shape it.

What you’ll do

Working alongside our Community Programs Leader, you’ll help us understand what our community needs and develop a practical, engaging program that supports participants to:

• build confidence and communication skills
• strengthen their pathway towards employment
• develop practical skills for everyday life and work
• connect with others and build a sense of belonging
• feel empowered to take their next step towards employment.

You’ll design and facilitate engaging sessions, develop learning activities and resources, and adapt your approach to meet the different experiences, abilities and goals of participants.

We’re looking for someone who...

We’re looking for someone who can bring consistency and build genuine relationships with participants over time.

• Has experience as a teacher, tutor, trainer or educator.
• Has experience working with CALD communities and understands the importance of culturally responsive learning.
• Has experience developing a program, course, lesson series or learning resources, you enjoy taking an idea and turning it into something practical.
• Is confident facilitating small groups and creating a welcoming learning environment.
• Is creative, approachable and able to adapt their teaching style to different learners.
• Is passionate about employment, inclusion, community connection and empowerment.
• Can commit approximately 2–4 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
• Current and valid Police Check – don’t have one yet? That’s completely okay,  we’ll help organise this for you as part of your onboarding.
