Visitor Centre Volunteer

🌿 Thinking About Volunteering?
Before you decide, see how you go with these classic questions we get almost every day:
- Where’s the chemist?
- What time does the supermarket close?
- Where can you get coffee and lunch?
- What’s the road like to Nerriga?
- Where’s Araluen?
- Where can you buy a scarf / flowers / a present etc?
- Where’s the museum?
How’d you go?
If these felt easy, you’re exactly the kind of person we’d love to have at the Braidwood Visitor Information Centre!
We answer simple questions like these all day — with a smile, a chat, and a bit of local pride. If you enjoy light social interaction, upbeat conversations with visitors from everywhere, and being part of a friendly local team, this is a perfect fit.
What’s involved?
- Flexible shifts
- Usually just 3 hours once a week or once a fortnight
- No special training
- A relaxed, welcoming environment
- A great way to support local businesses and help visitors enjoy our region
We’re all volunteers from the area — friendly, low‑key, and community‑minded. If that sounds like you, come join us at the VIC.
