BaptistCare is seeking enthusiastic and caring Activities Assistant Volunteers to support lifestyle and recreational programs within our aged care home at Elderslie.
As an Activities Assistant Volunteer, you'll help residents participate in a variety of engaging activities that promote social connection, wellbeing, and enjoyment. Whether it's assisting with games, crafts, exercise sessions, music activities, special events, or simply encouraging residents to join in, your presence can make a real difference.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting staff with group activities and social programs
- Helping set up and pack away activity areas
- Encouraging residents to participate and engage
- Supporting arts and crafts, bingo, quizzes, music, and other recreational activities
- Providing friendly conversation and companionship
- Assisting during themed events, celebrations, and community visits

- Friendly, patient, and compassionate
- Enjoy spending time with older people
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to support residents of diverse backgrounds and abilities

No previous experience is necessary. Full orientation, training, and ongoing support will be provided.
