BaptistCare is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic volunteer to facilitate a regular Men's Group within our aged care residence in Elderslie.

Many of our male residents enjoy opportunities to gather, share stories, discuss common interests, and form meaningful friendships. As a Men's Group Volunteer, you'll help create a welcoming environment where residents can connect, reminisce, and engage in enjoyable discussions and activities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Facilitating informal group discussions and social gatherings
  • Encouraging participation from residents
  • Sharing interests such as sport, history, gardening, travel, cars, current events, woodworking, or hobbies
  • Helping foster friendships and social connections
  • Supporting residents to feel included, valued, and engaged

About you:

  • Friendly, approachable, and a good conversationalist
  • Enjoy spending time with older people
  • Comfortable facilitating small group discussions
  • Patient, respectful, and inclusive of diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Reliable and committed to making a positive difference
