Men's Group Facilitator - Elderslie
Help create connection, conversation, and camaraderie for older men in aged care.
BaptistCare is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic volunteer to facilitate a regular Men's Group within our aged care residence in Elderslie.
Many of our male residents enjoy opportunities to gather, share stories, discuss common interests, and form meaningful friendships. As a Men's Group Volunteer, you'll help create a welcoming environment where residents can connect, reminisce, and engage in enjoyable discussions and activities.
What you'll be doing:
- Facilitating informal group discussions and social gatherings
- Encouraging participation from residents
- Sharing interests such as sport, history, gardening, travel, cars, current events, woodworking, or hobbies
- Helping foster friendships and social connections
- Supporting residents to feel included, valued, and engaged
About you:
- Friendly, approachable, and a good conversationalist
- Enjoy spending time with older people
- Comfortable facilitating small group discussions
- Patient, respectful, and inclusive of diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Reliable and committed to making a positive difference

No previous experience is required. Training, orientation, and ongoing support will be provided.
