The main responsibilities of this role are: • Welcoming visitors to the property and providing information about house access and tours • Assisting with customer service and sales to enhance the visitor experience • Help with the presentation of retail and reception area • Processing ticket and retail sales through VEND

Training: • Induction and familiarisation visit with the property and staff • Full training in the retail software used by the National Trust (NSW) and cash handling procedures • On-the-job training in customer service and retail operations including best practices for interacting with visitors and enhancing their experience

The impact of this role: • Retail volunteers help drive sales in National Trust retail outlets directly contributing to funding the Trust’s conservation projects • Volunteers serve as ambassadors that engage with local communities and visitors strengthening relationships with the public and building support for the mission of the National Trust • Volunteers are advocates for spreading the word about the importance of conservation and encouraging the public to become National Trust members and to donate
