**Highbury Community Learning and Wellbeing Inc. **is co-hosting a fun, active Community Badminton & Pickleball Social Session for primary school children and their parents. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteer helpers to ensure our sessions run smoothly, safely, and successfully.

Whether you are passionate about sports, looking to gain experience in community services/event management, or simply want to give back to the local community, we would love to have you on board!

Key Responsibilities
As a Volunteer Event Helper, you will assist our coordinators with:

Setup & Pack-up: Helping arrange portable badminton/pickleball nets, court markings, and organizing rackets and balls before and after the sessions.

**Welcoming & Registration: **Greeting children and parents at the sign-in desk, checking registrations, and making everyone feel welcome.

**Activity Facilitation: **Helping hand out equipment, keeping score or managing short social matches, and encouraging kids and parents to participate.

Safety & Supervision: Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and friendly environment on and around the courts.

Requirements & Qualifications
Positive Attitude: Enthusiastic, reliable, and friendly with great communication skills.

Child Safety: A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required (Volunteer status is completely free to apply for, and we can assist you with the application link if needed).

Experience (Desirable but not essential): Basic knowledge of badminton or pickleball rules is a plus, but a willingness to help and learn is what matters most!

Age: Suitable for volunteers aged 16 and over.

Time and Location
Dates: Tuesday, 22nd Sep 2026 AND / OR Tuesday, 29th Sep 2026

Shift Time: 12:45 AM – 4:00 PM (Includes briefing, setup, session support, and pack-up)

Location: Rowville Community Centre, Rowville 3178
(Note: You can specify if volunteers can commit to just one of the days or both!)
