BRISBANE NORTH/SOUTH VOLUNTEER TREASURER / PRO BONO ACCOUNTANT

THE ROLE ENTAILS

The Treasurer will work alongside our Management Committee and assist with the responsible financial management and governance of the charity. We seek a person who is willing to take this role for 6 months plus leading to give our organisation a solid stable foundation

Responsibilities may include:

• Maintaining oversight of the charity's financial position

• Monitoring income, expenditure and cash flow

• Assisting with budgets and financial planning

• Reviewing and reconciling financial records and accounts

• Preparing regular financial reports for Management Committee meetings

• Providing Treasurer reports for the AGM

• Supporting accurate bookkeeping and MYOB records

• Monitoring donations, fundraising income and expenditure

• Assisting with annual financial reporting requirements

• Supporting compliance with relevant ACNC, ATO and incorporated association financial obligations

• Working collaboratively with the President, Secretary and Management Committee

• Helping maintain appropriate financial controls, accountability and transparency

• Liaising with external accountants, auditors or other financial professionals where required
