Volunteer Community Engagement Coordinator

We don't have all the answers to homelessness, but what we can provide is free clean laundry, a warm shower and genuine conversation to those doing it tough.

As an Orange Sky Community Engagement Coordinator, you'll play a key role in engaging our local volunteer team and the Northern Rivers community, helping share the stories that show the heart of what we do.

This is a flexible role. The workload moves with what's happening locally, so it suits someone who can flex around occasional bursts of activity rather than a fixed weekly commitment.

We need your help to:

• Coordinate speaking event requests and represent Orange Sky at community events, service birthdays and media opportunities.
• Produce and distribute a regular newsletter to keep our volunteer team informed and connected.
• Support our local leadership team with planning and running volunteer events, from Service Birthdays to end-of-year functions.
• Work across tools like Asana, Canva and Campaign Monitor (full training provided, no experience needed).
• Help foster a positive, inclusive environment for our volunteer crew.

You'll be a great fit if you're:

Organised, great with people, and able to communicate effectively across diverse backgrounds. You don't need a background in comms or events, just a genuine passion for helping others and a willingness to give things a go.
