Escape to beautiful Magnetic Island for an unforgettable weekend where young people build confidence, resilience and meaningful friendships through adventure, teamwork and connection. Activities may include Raft Building, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Snorkeling, Abseiling, Beach Olympics and Team Games, alongside KookaChats—our engaging mental health and wellbeing sessions that help young people build resilience, emotional wellbeing and positive coping strategies. As a volunteer, you'll stay with the group on Magnetic Island, supporting young people during activities, meals, overnight accommodation and everyday camp life. Every conversation, encouragement and shared experience helps create a camp where young people feel safe, connected and supported.

As a volunteer, you'll: • Welcome and support young people throughout the weekend. • Encourage young people to participate, challenge themselves and celebrate their achievements. • Join in activities where appropriate. • Support or help facilitate KookaChats with the program team. • Help supervise young people during overnight accommodation alongside staff. • Build positive relationships and model respectful, healthy communication. • Help create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. • Work alongside staff and fellow volunteers as one team. Sometimes the biggest difference you can make is simply showing up, listening and believing in a young person.
