Live Music Locator is Australia's dedicated platform for finding live music gigs, venues, and artists. We're looking for a volunteer Marketing Coordinator who wants to help more people discover live music and help grow LML's presence across Australia.
About the Role
You'll help plan and coordinate the marketing of LML — finding opportunities to increase awareness of the platform, promote what we're doing, and connect more punters, audiences, artists and venues with LML.
You'll work closely with a small team of passionate volunteers, including people responsible for social media and design. Your role will be to help set marketing priorities, coordinate activity and make sure our marketing efforts are working together.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop and coordinate LML's overall marketing plan.
- Identify opportunities to promote LML to audiences, artists, venues and the wider live music community.
- Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns and promotions around key LML activities.
- Work with the Social Media, Design and wider volunteer team to develop and deliver marketing content.
- Help ensure LML has a consistent message and presence across its marketing channels.
- Look for opportunities to build partnerships, collaborations and promotional opportunities within the Australian music industry.
- Keep track of what's happening across LML and identify stories, features and initiatives that are worth promoting.
- Monitor what's working and suggest ways we can improve our marketing and reach.
About You
You're enthusiastic about marketing and genuinely interested in Australian live music.
You're someone who can see an opportunity, come up with an idea and help turn it into action. You're organised, a good communicator and comfortable working with a small volunteer team.
Experience in marketing, communications, music, events or a related area is helpful – in some configuration.
A genuine passion for live music.
Hours/ Work arrangement
The commitment is flexible and light, around 2 to 6 hours per week, work in your own time.
This is an unpaid volunteer role. What we can offer is the chance to contribute to something meaningful for Australian live music culture, build your portfolio, and work closely with a small team that's passionate about keeping live music visible and accessible.
