Volunteer Management Committee Member
Palm Beach Neighbourhood Centre Inc. (PBNC) is seeking community-minded people to join our Management Committee and contribute their skills, experience and ideas to the governance and future direction of our organisation.
The Management Committee is the governing body of PBNC and plays an important role in ensuring the organisation remains sustainable, well governed and responsive to the needs of our community. The Committee provides strategic oversight rather than managing day-to-day operations.
As a Committee member, you will contribute to strategic planning and decision-making, monitor organisational performance, financial sustainability and risk, and help ensure PBNC meets its governance and regulatory responsibilities.
We are looking for people who can work collaboratively, communicate respectfully, consider information objectively and contribute constructively to discussions and decisions. You should be willing to prepare for and regularly attend meetings, maintain confidentiality and act in the best interests of PBNC.
Previous board or committee experience is welcome but not essential. New members undertake an induction, and ongoing governance training and development opportunities are provided.
Volunteering on the PBNC Management Committee is an opportunity to develop governance and leadership skills, connect with your local community and use your experience to make a meaningful contribution to a community-based organisation.
If you are interested, we would love to hear from you. Please submit a brief expression of interest outlining your background, relevant skills and why you would like to join the PBNC Management Committee.
