Friendly volunteer to help ease loneliness

A lovely older woman living independently in Fairview Park is looking for a friendly volunteer to help brighten her days and reduce social isolation.

She would enjoy regular fortnightly visits for a chat and companionship, and if you’re able to drive, perhaps the occasional outing to a local café or library.

We are looking for someone to join our Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme team, who is aged 18 or over and is able to speak clear English, as she does experience some hearing difficulties.

Could you spare just one hour a fortnight to make a meaningful difference and gain a wonderful new friendship in return?
