Volunteer Therapy Assistant

Are you looking for a rewarding way to give back to your community and make a positive difference in someone’s day? We’re looking for friendly, caring and enthusiastic volunteers to join the BaptistCare team and help support clients/residents to stay active, connected and engaged.

As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to spend quality time with clients/residents and participate in a range of activities based on their interests, abilities and individual needs. This could include:

💬 Having a chat and providing companionship and social interaction 🎲 Playing board games, cards, puzzles and other fun activities 🚶 Going for walks and enjoying time outdoors 🌱 Helping with gardening and simple outdoor activities 🎨 Getting creative with arts, crafts and other hands-on activities 🎵 Enjoying music, entertainment and shared interests ☕ Sharing a cuppa and a friendly conversation 🌟 Supporting clients/residents to participate in activities that promote independence, confidence and wellbeing

Most importantly, you’ll be helping create meaningful social connections and providing companionship, encouragement and a friendly face. Your time and presence can make a real difference, whether that’s helping someone try something new, joining them in an activity they enjoy, or simply having a conversation and brightening their day.

No two days need to be the same, and you can bring your own interests, skills and personality to the role. Whether you have an hour a week or more time to give, your contribution can help clients/residents feel connected, valued and supported.
