Warehouse Support
At Fitted for Work, fashion, sustainability and social impact come together through the support of our volunteers.
As a Warehouse Support Volunteer, you'll help sort, organise and prepare clothing donations, ensuring quality items reach women* attending our services or find a new home through The Conscious Closet, our social enterprise. Every shift helps reduce textile waste while contributing to our mission of empowering women* to achieve economic independence through work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Sorting, organising and storing clothing donations
- Preparing clothing and accessories for Fitted for Work clients and The Conscious Closet, including steaming and presentation
- Assisting with donation drop-offs and supporting donor enquiries
- Supporting stock management and warehouse organisation
- Helping with textile reuse, recycling and sustainable disposal initiatives
- Packing items for our charity partners
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
What We're Looking For
- A friendly, collaborative and genuine approach to teamwork
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- An interest in fashion, sustainability or circular fashion practices
- The ability to work collaboratively with staff and fellow volunteers
- A proactive and adaptable approach
- Basic numeracy skills
