Advertised by Cockburn Volunteer CentreWe are seeking a suitably qualified Hairdresser to support our patients at Murdoch Hospice/Footprints Day Therapy Centre to look and feel their best.
Are you a compassionate Hairdresser looking for a challenge beyond the standard salon work? Footprints Day Centre at St John of God Murdoch Hospice provides free practical and emotional support to patients with life limiting/life threatening conditions and their families through a range of creative activities and complementary therapies. Patient experience is at the heart of what we do with our hairdressing service greatly appreciated by patients and families alike.
Volunteering with us you can expect support and orientation to the role, inclusion to all social events, and satisfaction in supporting people to feel their best despite their diagnosis or prognosis.
Volunteer will need to provide:
- Evidence of qualification
- Compassionate nature with good listening skills
- Desire to support individuals and their families through end-of-life care
- Able to work autonomously and independently.
