Over four weeks awayAbout the Opportunity Australian Solo Mothers by Choice (ASMBC) is seeking a volunteer photographer/videographer to help capture the magic of our annual ASMBC Christmas Party — a heartwarming celebration by families from across New South Wales.
This event is a highlight of the year, filled with laughter, connection, and festive cheer. Your work will help us tell the story of our vibrant community, celebrate our members, and inspire others to get involved.
Key Duties
- Capture high-quality photos and short video clips throughout the event, including family interactions, children’s activities, Santa’s visit, and general event atmosphere. *photos of each family receiving presents for Santa,
- photos of each family by themselves.
- Take a small selection of posed group or individual shots (as requested).
- Edit and organise a curated set of photos and short video highlights for use on our social media, website, and newsletters.
- (Optional) Assist in creating a short 1–2 minute highlight reel showcasing the event’s key moments.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in photography and/or videography (professional or hobbyist level).
- Access to your own camera or recording equipment.
- Basic editing and file management skills.
- Ability to capture candid, natural moments as well as posed shots.
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable around children and families.
- Working with children check required

Australian Solo Mothers by Choice (ASMBC) is a volunteer-run community supporting over 4,500 families across Australia and New Zealand. Founded in 2013, ASMBC provides peer connection, advocacy, and social events for solo mothers and their children. We are recommended by health professionals and recognised as the leading support network for families created through donor conception.
