University Student Volunteer (Non-competitive role ⭐)
Help create campaigns for transport choice for everyone.
Get Around Caboolture is starting a new Transport Change Lab and we're looking for university students and qualified graduates with skills or interests in marketing, communications, advertising, social media content, community engagement, political science or related fields.
You'll work with each other and the founder of Get Around Caboolture to develop campaigns that explore how we can build support for transport choice for everyone.
What you'll be doing
- Developing campaign concepts and creative ideas
- Exploring audiences and what might connect with them
- Developing campaign messages, hooks and content
- Creating social media and other campaign content
- Exploring how communications can influence public thinking
- Developing ideas from an initial concept into a campaign
- Getting feedback and refining your ideas
- Working with other students as they join the Lab
How the Lab works
You'll work closely with the founder, who will guide you through campaign topics and help you develop your ideas.
Much of your work will be self-directed, giving you the opportunity to take an idea and develop it in your own way.
As other students come on board, you'll have opportunities to work with them and bring different skills and perspectives together.
All work is done online. We don't have an office.
Most of the work will happen during university holidays, when we're hoping students will have more time available. Please let us know when you're available during your next university holiday period.
You'll be part of the first cohort
The Transport Change Lab is brand new.
You'll be part of the first cohort and will help us work out what the Lab becomes. We'll be building it around the experiences, skills and interests of the people who join us.
You don't need to know anything about transport. We're interested in what you can bring from your own field and how you think about people, communication, creativity and social change.

We're bringing people from different disciplines together to look at transport problems in new ways.
