2027 is a big one for the Vic Open — 13th Beach Golf Links hosts the tournament from 21st-24th January, marking the men's championship 70th anniversary and the women's event 20th staging. It's a milestone year, and volunteers are what make it happen.
Since 2012, the Vic Open has been the tournament that changed the game — men and women competing for equal prize money, on the same courses, at the same time, across the Beach and Creek courses. It's the format the rest of the golf world has spent over a decade trying to copy, and Australia got there first.
You'll be right in the thick of it. Past champions who've walked these fairways include major winners Minjee Lee, Hannah Green, Jiyai Shin and Min Woo Lee — and reigning champs Cam John and Lydia Hall. Whether you're helping fans find their way around, keeping the scoreboards moving, or driving players between holes, you'll have one of the best seats at one of Australian golf's most-loved weeks.
There's a role to suit however you want to spend your week — from right up close on the fairways to keeping things running behind the scenes. Roles include:
All volunteers will receive an official shirt, hat, refreshments, drink voucher & lunch pack on each rostered day, and may be invited to a golf day at 13th Beach post-event as a thank you.
