About Vic Park Community Centre

VPCC is a little place with a big heart—a welcoming community hub where people can connect, collaborate, imagine and thrive. We offer programs, events, workshops and affordable spaces for hire for people of all ages and backgrounds. Our communications aim to reflect the real people, stories and community spirit behind everything we do.

What You’ll Do

Working with VPCC staff and following an agreed brief, you may:

  • Create graphics for Facebook, Instagram, our website and in-house
  • Use our existing Canva templates, brand colours and visual style
  • Help create short videos, reels and event highlights
  • Take photographs or short video clips at selected programs and events
  • Edit and resize content for different digital platforms
  • Help organise our photographs, videos, templates and other digital assets
  • Suggest creative ways to share VPCC’s activities and community impact

All content will be reviewed and approved by VPCC staff before publication. You will not be responsible for managing VPCC’s social media accounts.

What We’re Looking For

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Enjoy graphic design, photography, video or digital content creation
  • Are confident using Canva
  • Have a sound understanding of Facebook and Instagram content
  • Have a good eye for detail and can follow a creative brief
  • Communicate warmly and respectfully
  • Are reliable, collaborative and open to feedback
  • Respect people’s privacy and the diversity of our community

You don’t need to be a professional. We welcome people who are still developing their skills. Examples of personal, study or professional creative work would be helpful.

Time Commitment

Approximately 6 hours per fortnight for at least three months, with flexibility by discussion.

Some work can be completed remotely, but you are welcome to work from VPCC - at times, the role would ideally be present at programs or events in East Victoria Park.

Training and Requirements

VPCC will provide an induction covering our brand, tone of voice, content approval process, privacy and photography consent requirements.

A Working with Children Check an Police Check are required, we will support applicants with this.
