Community Transport Driver

The volunteer is responsible for driving community members to and from appointments, using the West Winds Community Transport Vehicle. Requirements for the position: • Good interpersonal skills, a polite & friendly manner with the ability to interact with people. • Willingness to take direction and an ability to work independently. • Well-developed organisation and time management skills. • Basic level of mathematics and money handling skills. • The driver must hold a full and current Class ‘C’ Licence and provide a copy to West Winds for their records. • Drivers must be over the age of 25 years and have been driving for a minimum of two years. • The driver must have zero reading for alcohol and must not be under the influence of illicit substances prior to and during the period of use. • The driver must abide by all Tasmanian Traffic Rules and Regulations.
