Volunteer Visitors Needed – Carrum Downs | Make a Difference Through Friendship
Could you brighten an older person's week with your time, conversation and companionship?
Ageing with Grace is looking for friendly, caring volunteers to visit older people in Carrum Downs through the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS).
We currently have three older people in Carrum Downs who are looking for a volunteer visitor. Each person has different interests and preferences, so there may be an opportunity that is a great fit for you.
🌿 Rosemary enjoys gardening, craft activities, jigsaw puzzles and conversation. If you're someone who enjoys creative activities, pottering in the garden or simply having a good chat, you could be a wonderful match.
💬 Sue would love regular visits from a mature volunteer (50–70 preferred). If you love gardening, dogs, cooking and drawing then you would have a lot in common to talk about when you visit.
What would you do?
This is a simple but incredibly meaningful role. You might spend time chatting over a cup of tea, working on a jigsaw puzzle, talking about shared interests, enjoying a hobby together or simply providing a friendly face and someone to look forward to seeing.
You don't need any special qualifications or experience. We are looking for people who are reliable, compassionate, good listeners and genuinely interested in getting to know an older person.
