Support the board in providing efficient and effective governance of Humanists Australia
Fill the role of Company Secretary as described in the Humanists Australia constitution.
Main Duties
Coordinate Board meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and distributing meeting materials
Take accurate minutes during Board meetings, ensuring all key decisions and actions are documented, and distribute them to board members
Maintain the ACNC register of Board Directors
Lodge annual reports with the ACNC
Handle email and postal correspondence on behalf of the Board, including picking up mail from Ross House on Flinders Lane at least fortnightly.
Skills required
Strong written and oral communication skills
Self-motivation and enthusiasm
Ability to organise files, priorities, schedules, etc.
Understanding of Humanism and Humanist values.
Good technical skills, including Zoom, GSuite (Google Drive and Gmail), and Slack for instant messaging. Training will be provided as required.
Desirable: Experience working as a volunteer or with volunteers
Desirable: Experience engaging with bureaucracy
You will need

A good internet connection
Availability for a monthly online meeting
