Connecting2Ability (C2A) is seeking passionate and skilled Volunteer Board Members to help guide our organisation through its next stage of growth and impact.
As a not-for-profit organisation, C2A supports people with disability through meaningful employment, community participation, skill development and social connection opportunities. Our mission is to create pathways to inclusion, independence and opportunity for the people we serve.
We are looking for individuals who can complement the expertise of our existing Board and contribute to the strong governance and strategic direction of the organisation.

Skills and Experience Sought
We are particularly interested in applicants with backgrounds in:
- Finance, accounting, audit or risk
- People & Culture / Human Resources
- Workplace relations and organisational development
- Legal
- Governance, compliance or risk management
Previous board experience is welcomed but not essential.
Time Commitment
This voluntary Board Member role requires approximately 4-10 hours per month, including attendance at Board meetings and participation in committee work relevant to your expertise (where applicable).
Additional commitments include:
- Attendance at the Annual General Meeting
- Participation in an annual Board strategy day
- 1-2 days per year visiting C2A sites to meet participants, employees and stakeholders and see the impact of your contribution first hand
This role is ideal for professionals seeking a meaningful governance opportunity with significant community impact and a manageable time commitment.
Training & Support
Receive a full board induction, governance resources, and ongoing support from the Chair and executive leadership team.
You'll also have opportunities to visit our sites and see the impact of C2A's work first hand. Previous board experience is welcome but not required.
Reimbursements
This is a voluntary position; however, reasonable pre-approved out-of-pocket expenses incurred while undertaking Board duties may be reimbursed in accordance with C2A policy.
