About the volunteer role
MARSS Australia is looking for friendly, reliable and community-minded volunteers to help support our multicultural events, celebrations, workshops and community activities.
This is a great opportunity to meet new people, support culturally diverse communities and gain practical experience assisting with community events.
Activities and events may include:
- Eid celebrations
- Christmas and end-of-year celebrations
- Harmony Week and multicultural celebrations
- Community workshops and information sessions
- Family and social activities
- Community engagement stalls
- Other MARSS events and activities throughout the year
What you may be helping with:
- Greeting and welcoming guests
- Setting up and packing down events
- Assisting at information and community stalls
- Serving food and refreshments
- Helping with registrations and directing attendees
- Setting up tables, chairs, decorations and resources
- Assisting with activities, workshops and games
- Distributing information and resources
- Providing general event support to MARSS staff
About you
We are looking for people who are friendly, respectful, dependable and enjoy helping others. You should be comfortable engaging with people from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and willing to assist wherever needed.
Previous event experience is not essential. A positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to contribute are what matter most.
