Maintenance Man
Key Tasks May Include:
- General repairs and maintenance around the HQ and warehouse
- Assembling furniture, shelving and storage solutions
- Basic carpentry, painting and patching
- Fixing doors, handles, shelving and other fixtures
- Helping maintain and improve our warehouse and storage areas
- Assisting with minor repairs to equipment where appropriate
- Identifying maintenance issues and suggesting practical solutions
- Helping with occasional maintenance of our mobile outreach van
- Moving, installing and organising equipment and storage
- General handyman tasks as required.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Is practical, hands-on and enjoys fixing things
- Has good general handyman or maintenance skills
- Is reliable, proactive and happy to get stuck in
- Can work independently but also as part of a small team
- Takes pride in their work
- Has good attention to detail
- Is comfortable working in a warehouse/charity environment
- Has experience with tools and basic repairs
- Trade qualifications or professional maintenance experience are welcome but not essential. We’re particularly interested in someone with practical experience who simply wants to use their skills to give back to the community.
