IT Manager

Kintsugi Heroes Ltd

Kintsugi Heroes (KH) is an Australian not-for-profit organisation sharing real-life stories of adversity, resilience, recovery and hope through podcasts, books, community projects, workshops, events and digital platforms. Our mission is helping people tell the stories they need to share, so that people can find the stories they need to hear.

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee and coordinate our technology environment and help ensure our systems remain reliable, secure and fit for purpose as KH continues to grow.

Key duties include:

  • Oversee KH’s overall IT environment and technology priorities.
  • Coordinate specialist IT volunteers and external providers rather than necessarily undertaking all technical work personally.
  • Oversee our WordPress website, Salesforce Nonprofit CRM, Google Workspace and Jotform environments.
  • Support other platforms including Riverside, Canva, YouTube, Zoom and associated cloud applications.
  • Coordinate user accounts, permissions, access and offboarding.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, integrate and automate systems and processes.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of IT issues.
  • Maintain appropriate cybersecurity, backup and data-protection practices.
  • Maintain documentation covering systems, administrators, licences, configurations and key procedures.
  • Help reduce reliance on individual volunteers holding critical technical knowledge.
  • Support new technology initiatives, including our developing Kintsugi Heroes Story Library and story-capture app.
  • Provide advice to management on future technology requirements and priorities.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone with broad IT management or systems experience who is comfortable working across cloud-based technologies. Strong problem-solving, organisational and communication skills are important, along with the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical team members.

Experience with WordPress, Salesforce, Google Workspace and/or Jotform would be particularly valuable. Experience supporting a not-for-profit, charity or volunteer organisation would be highly regarded.

Why volunteer with Kintsugi Heroes?

This is an opportunity to use your technology experience to make a meaningful contribution to a growing purpose-driven organisation. You'll have considerable opportunity to contribute ideas, improve our technology environment and help shape systems that support KH's future growth.

The impact extends well beyond IT. Reliable and effective technology enables our volunteers to spend more time capturing, preserving and sharing stories that build connection, understanding, resilience and hope.

The role is primarily remote and flexible, requiring approximately 4–6 hours per week. We are ideally looking for someone who can make an ongoing commitment of at least six months.

To apply, please provide a brief summary of your relevant IT management and systems experience, including experience with any of the platforms listed above.
