Our Shops are filled with a diverse range of high-quality new and pre-loved items, including seasonal clothing, shoes, accessories and homewares. We know our customers love a treasure hunt, so we ensure our shops are always full of variety, fun pieces, and vibrant displays.

What does a typical day look like in a Shop?

As part of your regular 4-hour shift each week, you'll help keep our shop running smoothly by:

  • Welcoming and engaging customers
  • Processing transactions through point of sale, including cash and eftpos payments
  • Sorting and pricing donations
  • Creating vibrant displays to attract shoppers
  • Keeping the shop clean and tidy
  • Following all shop processes

What skills do you need?

  • Friendly, positive and approachable
  • Respectful and kind when communicating with others
  • Able to follow instructions and shop procedures
  • Happy to work as part of a team
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and help with a variety of shop tasks!
  • You must be at least 15 years of age (QLD – You must be 16)

Most importantly, our stores rely on volunteers to operate successfully, so we are seeking people that commit to a weekly 4-hour shift.

What’s the application process?

  • No need to upload a resume – just tell us why you’re interested in the role
  • We’ll then have a friendly interview in store and ask you a few questions and you can ask us questions too
  • Completing a National Police check (paid for by Red Cross)
  • Completing our volunteer onboarding process, including induction, reviewing key policies and procedures to help you understand your role and what's expected of you as a member of our volunteer team.
