Driver Assisting at Community Foodbank Molendinar

In 2013, Silver Bridle Action Group Inc. entered into a 15-year facilities management agreement with Gold Coast City Council to operate the Lynne Richardson Community Centre in Molendinar. The Centre provides support and assistance to both local and broader communities through programs that are tailored for individuals of all ages.

Since 2019, the Centre has partnered with Lion Ashmore and Rotary Ashmore to run a community food bank in Molendinar. We collect food from SecondBite, OzHarvest, and Fresh Food Galleria at Pacific Fair. After collecting the food, we sort it and store it until our collection time on Thursdays.

We are looking for committed volunteers to help us collecting food donations. Clean licence and strong physical capability for manual handling is required (max 16kg).

We believe that no one should go hungry. The food we collect is plentiful, and our efforts also help reduce food wastage.

If you’re ready to give back to the community, why not join us?
