Social Media & Content Intern

Melbourne/ Brisbane | Hybrid | 5–10 hours per week | 3-month placement

Are you chronically online, fluent in TikTok and capable of making a 30-second video entertaining?

We’re looking for a creative Social Media Intern to help shape edit and execute content for an all volunteer Aus charity and a personal platform.

You’ll help with:

• Editing short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram
• Finding the strongest takes from self-filmed footage
• Adding captions, sharp cuts, comedic pauses, zoom-ins, sounds and cutaways
• Identifying relevant trends and content opportunities
• Helping maintain a simple, consistent posting strategy

You should:

• Understand TikTok, Instagram and internet culture
• Be confident using CapCut or similar editing software
• Have good comedic timing and strong creative instincts
• Know how to make content feel native and engaging, not overly polished
• Be reliable, proactive and comfortable sharing ideas

The role will run for an initial 3 months, approximately one day per week, likely Thursdays, with a mix of remote and in-person work in Melbourne or Brisbane. There may be an opportunity to continue in a paid role if the collaboration works well.

This may be arranged as a casual internship or formal university vocational placement, depending on the candidate.
