Join Our Mission — Volunteer With Gulagbi

Gulagbi is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re inviting passionate, skilled volunteers to join our growing team.

As a not-for-profit organisation based in Far North Queensland, Gulagbi – Collaborative Sustainable Developments Ltd is dedicated to supporting mothers, babies, and families through holistic, culturally-appropriate pregnancy and postpartum care — and empowering communities both locally and globally through sustainable development projects.

To continue this work and expand our reach, we’re seeking volunteers with experience, initiative, and heart to take on key support roles within our organisation.

As our Social Media Manager, you will amplify Gulagbi’s message by helping us to grow and connect with our community online.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow Gulagbi’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Create engaging posts, stories, and campaigns that align with our mission
  • Coordinate with the team to share updates on projects, events, and fundraising drives
  • Monitor engagement and insights to help shape communication strategies

Ideal candidate:
A creative, organised communicator who understands social media strategy and storytelling — and is passionate about holistic care, advocacy, and making a difference.

This is an unpaid, remote, volunteer role, which can be completed flexibly on a schedule that suits you. We are looking for someone with availability of 5-10 hours per month, as well as attending a monthly board meeting via video call.

Why Volunteer With Gulagbi

Volunteering with Gulagbi means becoming part of a compassionate and collaborative team working together — in the spirit of our name — to create meaningful change for families and communities in need.
All positions are voluntary and unpaid, but they offer a deeply rewarding opportunity to contribute your skills to a cause that matters.
