Volunteer Stallholder Coordinator (Remote)
Lifestyle Markets Australia Inc (LMA) is a registered charity running multicultural markets, festivals and events across Victoria. Proceeds support Kinds of Happiness, a charity for disadvantaged youth in regional and rural Australia.
We are launching a new Friday twilight market at Echuca Lions APEX Park in Victoria, and we are looking for three friendly volunteers to phone stallholders, food vendors and local farmers and invite them to take part.
What you will do
- Phone stallholders, food vendors and farmers with produce, using a contact list we provide and your own research to find new vendors
- Share the market details, including dates, trading hours, site fees and how to book
- Record each call in our tracking spreadsheet and pass interested vendors on to the events team
- Work from home, mostly on weekdays during business hours, until we have a full lineup of stalls
About you
- A warm, confident phone manner, and you enjoy talking with people
- Reliable, organised and happy to work independently
- Comfortable with email and a simple spreadsheet
- Knowledge of markets, hospitality or local producers is a bonus, but not essential
What we offer
- A welcoming, inclusive, and diverse volunteer community
- Meaningful work that directly supports youth in regional Australia
- Flexible volunteering — work from home or on-site at our events
- Opportunities to develop new skills and build your professional network
- Reimbursement of call costs on presentation of your telephone bill
- A call script, training and ongoing support from the events team
