Volunteer Opportunity – Saturday Retail Experience for school‑aged volunteers
St Vincent De Paul Society Queensland supported by Volunteering Queensland

About the Role
We’re looking for school‑age kids accompanied by a parent or carer, and volunteers aged 16 or over are welcome to participate independently, to volunteer with us on Saturday mornings.
It’s a great way for young people to gain real workplace experience while contributing to a friendly, community‑focused environment.
What They’ll Learn
POS & cash handling — practical experience processing sales
Customer service — greeting customers, assisting with enquiries
Stock replenishment — restocking shelves and organising displays
Visual merchandising — helping set up appealing product layouts
These skills are perfect for building confidence and adding valuable experience to a young person’s resume.
