π The Gift of Being There: Friendship for an Elderly Lady in Bayview [ACVVS]

π The Gift of Being There: Friendship for an Elderly Lady in Bayview -Be Someone She Looks Forward to Seeing.
For many older people, friendship becomes harder to find as the years go by.
A warm and gentle woman living in a retirement village in Bayview would love the company of someone to share life's simple moments with. She enjoys a cup of tea and a good chat, gentle walks around the village, and following her favourite NRL teams on television.
A familiar face, a listening ear, and shared conversation can mean more than words can say. The kindness of regular visits can bring comfort, connection, and something special to look forward to.
Just π one hour each week or fortnight could help turn an ordinary day into a brighter one, over a cuppa, a stroll, and the beginning of a meaningful friendship. β
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
