About Compass

Compass is a Sunshine Coast–based charity supporting young people and adults with disability to develop skills, confidence, independence and meaningful connections within their community.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic volunteer to provide practical support across a range of general marketing and administration tasks.

About the role

Working alongside the Compass team, you will help us stay connected with our community and promote the opportunities available to people with disability.

Tasks may include:

  • Making phone calls to community contacts and local organisations
  • Scheduling approved social media content
  • Preparing and sending emails
  • Updating contacts in Active Campaign
  • Following up enquiries and information requests
  • Assisting with simple marketing campaigns and community outreach
  • Providing general marketing and administrative support as needed

All messaging, content and direction will be provided. This role is focused on helping us put planned activity into action.

About you

You do not need to be an experienced marketing professional. We are looking for someone who:

  • Communicates confidently and professionally by phone and email
  • Is comfortable using email, social media and basic online systems
  • Is organised, reliable and able to follow through on tasks
  • Has good attention to detail
  • Can work independently at home with guidance
  • Has your own computer and internet
  • Believes in creating greater opportunities for people with disability

Experience in marketing, administration, customer service or community engagement would be helpful but is not essential.

What you’ll gain

  • Practical experience across marketing, administration and community engagement
  • The opportunity to build current skills and experience for your résumé
  • Support and guidance from the Compass team
  • Flexible hours of approximately 2–4 hours each week
  • The chance to contribute to meaningful work that creates real opportunities for people with disability

If you are organised, enjoy connecting with people and would like to use your time and skills to make a genuine difference, we would love to hear from you.
