About the opportunity
Primary Purpose of the Position
The Resilient Care Program, delivered by Australian Business Volunteers (ABV), is working to strengthen the resilience, sustainability and preparedness of care and community organisations across the Fraser Coast. The program is seeking a volunteer Learning Design Specialist to develop three practical, sector-relevant training modules.
In this role, you will develop learning objectives, session outlines, participant activities, and practical resources to support learner application, while recommending delivery and evaluation approaches for pilot testing. Drawing on findings from a sector-wide Skills, Knowledge and Training Needs Analysis involving 42 Fraser Coast organisations, you will design three learning modules focused on community engagement and partnerships, funding sustainability, and organisational resilience, helping address identified preparedness and continuity capability gaps across the sector.
Your work will provide ABV with evidence-informed training modules ready for implementation and contribute to the future development of the Resilient CARE program.
Selection Criteria:
- Experience designing adult learning, training or professional development programs.
- Experience developing learning resources, toolkits or capability frameworks.
- Ability to translate research findings and sector needs into practical, engaging learning solutions.
- Understanding of community services, health, disability, emergency management or not-for-profit sectors.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
Strong instructional design and written communication skills.
