Social Companion for Male Residents
Advertised by Volunteer South West Incorporated
What you'll be doing:
As a valued volunteer, this role will see you engage and make lasting connections with our lovely male residents through regular one-to-one or small group visits.
Why this matters:
Companionship greatly enhances the quality of life of residents, who may otherwise be lonely and socially isolated. Your involvement with help encourage meaningful engagement amongst our residents, promote mental well-being and build community bonds.
The best bit?
This is a wonderful opportunity to provide enrichment to the lives of older people, develop a personal connection, and make new friends while gaining new skills and giving back to your community. You will be guided in your role by the site's Therapy team with ongoing support from our Volunteer Services Team.
About you:
We are seeking someone who enjoys having a conversation with older males, is patient and reliable and would like to make a positive difference to the lives of our male residents.
