Make a Meaningful Connection in Page - Volunteer Visitor Needed

Ageing with Grace

At Ageing with Grace, we believe regular companionship and human connection can make a real difference.

We’re looking for a patient and compassionate volunteer who is comfortable spending time with an older person living in residential aged care in Page who is experiencing dementia and significant cognitive decline.

Communication may be different, conversations may be repeated, and memories of a visit may not always remain — but the comfort and enjoyment that comes from genuine human connection can still be felt and valued in the moment.

As a volunteer visitor, you might spend time chatting and listening, sharing stories, enjoying a cuppa, looking through photographs or magazines, listening to music, taking a gentle walk in the garden or around the residence, or simply sitting together and providing friendly company.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable taking their time, following the older person’s lead and finding simple ways to engage and connect.

No professional dementia-care experience is required. If you are patient, understanding and comfortable spending time with someone experiencing significant cognitive decline, we’d love to hear from you.
