ROLE PURPOSE

This is a new role leading LMA's newly formed Digital Marketing Team. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Team Leader, you will lead a small team of volunteers responsible for LMA's digital marketing, including content and marketing campaigns, and help turn the marketing plan into action.

As the team is new, there is real scope for the right person to shape how it works from the start, including setting up processes, ways of working and good habits that keep the team's work on-brand, organised and running smoothly. LMA is a genuine training ground for its volunteers, and you will play a key part in helping team members grow their skills in digital marketing and leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Senior Marketing Team Leader to establish the new Digital Marketing Team, including setting up processes, tools and ways of working.
• Work closely with the Senior Marketing Team Leader to deliver the marketing plan and campaigns.
• Lead and support the Digital Marketing Coordinators and Social Media Content Writers on a day-to-day basis.
• Work with the Social Media and Graphic Design team to coordinate content and visuals for campaigns.
• Coordinate content and campaigns across social media, website updates and promotional materials.
• Support the Senior Marketing Team Leader in building out LMA's brand guidelines and a clearer visual identity as the organisation grows.
• Keep messaging and visuals consistent and on-brand across all platforms.
• Be the first point of contact for the team, helping with day-to-day questions and raising issues with the Senior Marketing Team Leader where needed.
• Run and attend regular remote team meetings.
• Support the Senior Marketing Team Leader with outreach to sponsors and partners to help promote LMA more widely.
• Track campaign progress and report back to the Senior Marketing Team Leader.
• Suggest ways to improve how the team works.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Enjoys building structure and bringing a new team together.
• Experience in digital marketing, content or campaigns, and some experience leading or supporting a team.
• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle several campaigns at once.
• Confident communicator who enjoys supporting and developing others.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote role and taking initiative where processes are still being set up.
• Comfortable running online meetings and working in shared documents.
• Familiar with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and Canva.
• A general understanding of social media, newsletters and content trends.

Desirable

• Experience setting up processes, workflows or content calendars.
• Experience with email marketing tools such as Mailchimp.
• Some experience with website updates or content management systems.
• Understanding of basic campaign reporting and analytics (for example, Meta or Google Analytics).
• Happy to pitch in on hands-on content or campaign tasks.
• Interest in branding, storytelling or events marketing.
• Friendly, positive attitude and enjoys connecting with people.
• Not-for-profit or volunteer experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
